This class has a nice, steady flow that stretches the body while strengthening it. We emphasize core flexibility and strength in this class to keep you safe while building stamina, flow, and ease in your body.

Iyengar Yoga

Iyengar yoga focuses on alignment and creates strength, endurance, and flexibility. It is appropriate for all skill levels as the use of props allows every individual to achieve his or her very best pose. With diligence in our asana practice, our bodies become balanced and firm. During asana, the mind is freed from its constant fluctuations and is made to be steady. When the body is balanced and the mind is steady, our innermost selves can shine through. This is the gift of yoga.

Advance Your Practice

Wednesday 12:00-1:15 PM

This class is appropriate for experienced practitioners with an established yoga practice. With a goal of building strength, flexibility, and awareness, we will explore more challenging asanas such as arm balances, bound poses, and inversions. Sun salutations will always be included (as, of course, will savasana!).

Yoga Foundations

Wednesday 5:30-6:45 PM

Yoga Foundations will focus on building each pose with safety and strength. What makes a pose such as Downward Dog or Triangle, and how can an individual modify it to feel its benefits? While this class is appropriate for students of all levels, including beginners, it will be tailored to the individuals present on a particular day – helping each student challenge his or her own limits while respecting them. Kelly hopes to bring yoga to those who might not otherwise consider it accessible to them, and to help her students find lightness in their hearts and minds - awakening mindfulness on the mat, and carrying that awareness off the mat.

Intermediate Yoga

Thursday 5:30-6:45 PM

This class begins with basic warm up exercises and Sun Salutations to coordinate the breath and body, and to prevent injury. We then into asana sequences focused on flexibility, strength, balance, and alignment. We will also explore pranayama, by controlling the breath, and meditation by observing sensation and awareness. This class is recommended to people who are familiar with yoga, and would like to deepen the practice.

Stretch & Relax

Had a busy week? This gentle Friday class includes slow, easy movements that unwind tension and stress. All poses are completed while resting on the floor to deepen relaxation and discharge the stress of our busy lives.

Private instruction is ideal for those with specific issues, needs, or goals; these issues may be addressed more directly and thoroughly in a personal setting than in a general class. Individuals with therapeutic needs, those who wish to establish or develop their own yoga practice, and students facing life changes such as pregnancy or aging are some of the people who have found private instruction to be useful and beneficial.
